Monbabel is very happy to have attended a very special meeting. It was the 1st Meeting of Enterpreneurs who have started their activities with the help of the Red Cross in Murcia (Spain). Project Impuls@ focuses on social groups that can be prone to suffer social discrimination. It was very moving to listen to some of the stories told by these enterpreneurs. They proved, once more, that 'if there is a will, there is a way' . We would also like to praise and thank the Red Cross for their valuable input throughout the world, and in particular, the work that the Red cross is carrying out in Murcia (Spain): www.cruzrojamurcia.es

Monbabel has recently participated in a very interesting session. A group of representatives of different Local Development Offices from Italy visited Murcia to check, in situ, the implementation of different European programmes which are being carried out at the moment. To name but a few: URBAN MURCIA, Intelligent Energy, Prosto, Green-Mobility, etc. Most of these programmes are partially financed by the EU and they mainly focus on sustainable policies to promote the concept of 'smart cities', which are indeed, the cities of the future.

Monbabel was in charge of the simultaneous translation and, once more, all went well. We would like to thank the Council Office for Employment, Trade and Enterprises in Murcia for their support. http://www.murcia.es/

Visita a Blanca

On December 5th, Monbabel organized a guided tour to Blanca (Murcia); the main reason for this visit was to introduce the works of Pedro Cano (Spanish painter) to some of our students. The trip was most interesting and the detailed explanations given by Alfonso, guide at the museum, helped us understand the works of this excellent artist. Apart from the 'art lessons' we were given, our guide also told us many anecdotes related to the different paintings on display. The paintings themselves already tell us much however if one also knows 'what was behind and around them'while they were being created, even better. I certainly recommend a visit to this part of Spain and indeed to pay a visit to the Pedro Cano Museum: http://www.fundacionpedrocano.es/
